"That's was a great night" the Milton resident recalls. "I had a lot of family members and friends there, but it was exciting to play in front of so many many new people." The event celebrated the release of the teenagers new Blues CD "New Soul" The live show reunited the all-star group of musicians who back him on the disk, Including bassist Elwood Bishop guitarist Clarence Spady and drummer Keith Brooks all of whom are more than twice his age. "It's more than a backup group," Connor says. "There is a real band energy going on when we play together."
The CD contains remakes of classic blues tunes along with smattering of original material written by the high school junior. "The whole band would play the backbone of each song together in the studio, and then I'd go back and overdub my stuff over it," he explains. "I think that helped give it a live feel."
