Mott the Hoople are an English rock band with strong R&B roots, popular in the glam rock era of the early to mid-1970s. They are popularly known for the song “All the Young Dudes”, written for them by David Bowie and appearing on their 1972 album of the same name.

The Vinyl:
This is the original thick heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. On visual inspection I can’t see any needle scratches or indeed any marks that would cause any clicks or pops. Any marks that could possibly be seen angled in strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal type/SCUFFS only. The playing surface is lovely.
The Audio Quality:
I have played this vinyl at very loud volume prior to this listing on a top system.The audio is cristal clear and vibrant through out no distortion or any signs of groove wear at all. I heard no clicks or pops during the play of this vinyl. Lovely sounding copy. Audio graded at near mint in my opinion.

The Labels:
These are the original 2nd issue Pink rim Island Labels: (correct for this early pressing) Spidering can be seen angled to the light and there is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round. This has not been overplayed in my opinion.
The Record Sleeve:
This is the original Island blue record sleeve light creasing, browning, becoming fragile with age only.
The Cover:
This is the original 1st issue un laminated gate-fold cover. This is nice and straight as it should be. no edge splits or tares. Just light general edge scuffing to mention The rear is also clean and straight. I would grade this at excellent in my opinion.
