Black Sabbath Bloody Sabbath 1st UK WWA 005 Mint Archive

Cat No. WWA 005 1973 1st UK Pressing Mint Archive Copy Only one play looks unplayed! (Our ref #3)

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is the fifth studio album by the British heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released in December 1973.

Following the 1972–1973 world tour in support of their Volume 4 album, Black Sabbath again returned to Los Angeles to begin work on its successor. Pleased with Volume 4, the band sought to recreate the recording atmosphere, and returned to the Record Plant Studios with new producer and engineer Tom Allom. Although the band’s then-manager Patrick Meehan received credit as co-producer, guitarist Tony Iommi said years later that Meehan had virtually no actual involvement in the album’s production, saying “Meehan’s ego got involved, and he stuck his name down as producer”.

The Vinyl:
This is the original thick heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. On visual inspection I can’t see any needle scratches or indeed any marks that would cause any loud clicks or pops. There is one small dot a factory imperfection on one side non audio sounding Any other marks that could possibly be seen angled in strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal type only. Visually like new looks unplayed in my opinion.

The Audio Quality:
I have played this vinyl at very loud volume prior to this listing on a top system.  The audio is cristal clear and vibrant through out no distortion or any signs of groove wear at all. I heard no loud clicks or pops during the play of this vinyl. Lovely sounding copy. Audio graded at least excellent plus to as good as it gets in my opinion. Allow for minor isolated static tick would need a constant clean before each play because this has been dormant since purchased from new. 1st UK press!

The Matrix:
Side 1″1#1″
Side 2″2#1″

The Labels:
These are the original 1st issue WWA Labels: No spidering can be seen angled to the light and there is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round. This has obviously only had one play by me from new only!

The Record Sleeve:
This is the original lyric record sleeve light creasing, browning, becoming fragile with age only. No splits or tares

The Cover:
This is the original 1st issue WWA gate fold cover. There are no real nasty creases on the front to mention this is nice and straight as it should be. no edge splits or tares. The rear is also clean with light marks only really to be noticed if looked for. This cover is graded excellent plus No splits or tares. very rare to find and keep like this
