The labels

The original Vertigo Spaceship labels are in awesome condition! (These look almost as new condition in my opinion)! Amaizingly I find it hard to see even a spider trail, even when angled to the light and of coarse (no) spindle ware This has only ever been played one time only from new to play grade for this listing. So rare for an album that is over 40 years old! Impossible to find like this! very very collectable!

The vinyl

On initial visual inspection this looks superb in my opinion! and still retains its sheen from new! I played this to play grade and record at very loud volume on a top system! Note: If I look hard at the playing surface angled to the light there are just tiny surface marks/ inperfections and minor marks any other marks would be sleeve removal only. At least there are no audio sounding marks or blemishes that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops other than the odd static type tick or ticks in isolated places only! The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable.

The Audio Quality

I have played this through track for track prior to listing at very very loud volume on a top system! The audio quality is superbe, clear and extremely vibrant through out  Note: Static tick/ticks/crackle was heard in isolated quiet parts and at some quiet intros. Please check my completed listings of records that i have sold of this caliber and you will see that i normally get it right! I would grade the audio at excellent.

Please note! That I always make this disclaimer! That although I never heard any loud constant clicks or pops during the play of this record please allow for the odd isolated static ticks/crackle as mentioned above , certainly not consistent throughout the audio, but this is a genuine 40 year old vinyl that would have been played on a 40 year old system!

Points to note! This has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 40 years! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves from laying dormant causes static crackle\ticks! A constant clean before each play is recommended ! This would reduce any static and enhance the audio quality!

The Record Sleeve

This is a poly lined sleeve with (no) splits or tares. Light creasing minor staining/fading with age only in general nice and clean!

The Cover

This is the original and earliest 1st UK press cover! These early originals are very flimsy in nature and hard to keep in nice condition. This is generally straight in appearance (see photos) with minor or minimal surface creases to mention top front left hand corner and rear bottom left hand corner (See Photos). Any rubbing wear is slight but again only noticed if looked for in my opinion. still very tidy for 40 years old! 1st issue I would grade the cover excellent in my opinion! No splits or tears. Graded Excellent.
