The Vinyl:
This is the original thick heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. On visual inspection I can’t see any needle scratches or indeed any marks that would cause any loud clicks or pops. Any marks that could possibly be seen anglerd in strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal scuff type only. The playing surface is lovely and clean indeed.
The Audio Quality:
I have played this vinyl at very loud volume prior to this listing on a top system. Importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge. The audio is cristal clear and vibrant through out no distortion or any signs of groove wear at all. I heard no loud clicks or pops during the play of this vinyl. Lovely sounding copy. Audio graded at very near mint in my opinion.
The Matrix:
Side 1″LBY 1086A-1N”
Side 2″LBY 1086B-1N”
The Mother Stampers:
Side 1 “1” “H”
Side 2 “1” “R”
The Labels:
These are the original 1st issue black Liberty Labels:(only 1st press)Z.T. tax code is stamped on side 2 (correct for this early pressing) Any spidering can barely be seen angled to the light and there is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round.
The Record Sleeve:
This is the original Decca poly lined record sleeve light creasing, browning, becoming fragile with age only edges are fragile just beginning to split . The vinyl is now always stored seperately from the vinyl.
The Cover:
This is the original and rarest to find 1st issue E.J Day flip back cover laminated front only. There are no real nasty creases on the front to mention this is nice and straight as it should be just minor laminate lift at the bottom edge nothing too bad. no edge splits or tares. The rear is also lovely any storage wear is just minimal, slight fading with age only. I would grade this at least excellent to excellent plus in my opinion.
Summery:
A nice classic original rarer E.Day cover complete with poly sleeve all in all nice copy free of nasty scratches.
