Curved Air are a pioneering British progressive rock group formed in 1970 by musicians from mixed artistic backgrounds, including classical, folk, and electronic sound. The resulting sound of the band was a mixture of progressive rock, folk rock, and fusion with classical elements. Along with High Tide and East of Eden, Curved Air were one of the first rock bands after It’s a Beautiful Day and The United States of America to feature a violin. Considered (according to AllMusic) “one of the most dramatically accomplished of all the bands lumped into Britain’s late-’60s prog explosion”, Curved Air released eight studio albums (the first three of which broke the UK Top 20) and had a hit single with “Back Street Luv” (1971) which reached number 4 in the UK Singles Chart

The Vinyl:
This is the original thick heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. On visual inspection I can’t see any needle scratches or indeed any marks that would cause any clicks or pops. Any marks that could possibly be seen anglerd in strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal type only. The playing surface is lovely.

The Audio Quality:
I have played this vinyl at very loud volume prior to this listing on a top system. Importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge. The audio is cristal clear and vibrant through out no distortion or any signs of groove wear at all. I heard no clicks or pops during the play of this vinyl. Lovely sounding copy. Audio graded at very near mint in my opinion.

The Matrix Endings:
Side 1″A-1E”
Side 2″B-2E”

The Labels:
These are the original 1st issue BTM Labels:(correct for this early pressing) No spidering be seen angled to the light and there is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round.  This has obviously only had very minimal play in my opinion. looks totally unplayed.

The Record Sleeve:
This is the original plain white paper record sleeve  in lovely condition.

The Cover:
This is the original ROBERT STACE cover un  laminated. There are no real creases on the front to mention this is nice and straight as it should be just minor sticker removal mark only noticed if looked for. no edge splits or tares.  The rear is also lovely I would grade this at least excellent plus if not much better in my opinion.
