Cat No. SHVL 767 1970 1st UK Pressing Original Mint Vinyl Archive

Genre Hard Rock/progressive: One of the greatest live rock albums of all time in my opinion. This is the 1st UK issue, 1st UK Pressing (1970) but what makes this special is the near mint vinyl condition through out absolutely stunning copy.1st pressing featureing  “The Gramophone Co……” rim text (Only 1st UK Press)

The Vinyl:
This is the original thick heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. On visual inspection I can’t see any needle scratches or indeed any marks that would cause any clicks or pops. Any marks that could possibly be seen anglerd in strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal type only. The playing surface is lovely.

The Audio Quality:
I have played this vinyl at very loud volume prior to this listing on a top system.  The audio is cristal clear and vibrant through out no distortion or any signs of groove wear at all. I heard no clicks or pops during the play of this vinyl. Lovely sounding copy. Audio graded at least excellent plus to near mint in my opinion.

The Matrix: (Earliest possible for this pressing)
Side 1″SHVL 767 A-1″
Side 2″SHVL 767 B-1″

The Mother Stampers:
Side 1 “4” “TR”
Side 2 “1” “LL”

The Labels:
These are the original Harvest Labels:
1st pressing featureing EMI on the labels and “The Gramophone Co……” rim test (Only 1st UK Press)
Any spidering can barely be seen angled to the light and there is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round. This has obviously only had very minimal play in my opinion. Looks totally superb!

The Record Sleeve:
This is the original plain white paper record sleeve light creasing, browning, becoming fragile with age at the edges only.

The Cover:
This is the original 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse  laminated front only gate fold cover. There are no nasty creases on the front to mention this is nice and straight as it should be. no edge splits or tares. The rear is also lovely there is a slight vinyl indentation noticed only if looked for.  I would grade this at least excellent  in my opinion.
