Joan Armatrading Demo Me Myself I UK Press

Me Myself I is an album by Joan Armatrading. Released in 1980, the album was Armatrading’s highest ever chart placing both in the UK (no.5) and in the US (no.28). It was certified “Gold” in the UK by the BPI in July 1980. The title track, which features “a stellar Chris Spedding guitar solo”, also became one of her most successful singles, peaking at no.21 in the UK. It was also used in the soundtrack of an Australian movie of the same title made in 1999.

The Vinyl:
This is the original thick heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. On visual inspection I can’t see any needle scratches or indeed any marks that would cause any clicks or pops. Any marks that could possibly be seen angled in strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal type only. The playing surface is lovely.

The Audio Quality:
I have played this vinyl but visually it looks like it would play better than excellent. Please contact me for a play grading.

The Matrix:
Side 1″AMLH-64309-A2″
Side 2″AMLH 64809-B4″

The Mother Stampers:
Side 1 “4D” “IM”
Side 2 “32C” “UM”

The Labels:
These are the original 1st issue A&M Labels: minimal spidering can be seen angled to the light and there is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round. This has obviously only had very minimal play in my opinion.

The Record Sleeve:
This is the original card picture record sleeve light storage wear only.

The Cover:
This is the original unlaminated UK printed cover light general storage wear rubbing with age. Features “Demonstration Not For Sale” stamped at the rear. Graded excellent.
