John Mayall Eric Clapton Peter Green Raw Blues 1st UK Press Near Mint
This is not, strictly speaking, a John Mayall album, but rather a various artists album containing among its 14 selections six recorded by Mayall, plus four tracks by Otis Spann, two by Champion Jack Dupree, and two by Curtis Jones. The three expatriate Americans had been recorded in sessions with British backup musicians, including Eric Clapton and Mayall himself.

The Vinyl:
This is the original thick heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. On visual inspection I can’t see any needle scratches or indeed any marks that would cause any major clicks or pops. Any marks that could possibly be seen anglerd in strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal type only. The playing surface is lovely. Note! There is one small dot on the playing surface caused by a needle been dropped at this point only it is aprox 1mm only.
The Audio Quality:
I have played this vinyl at very loud volume prior to this listing on a top system. The audio is cristal clear and vibrant through out no distortion or any signs of groove wear at all. Lovely sounding copy. One place only at the intro to the second to last track I heard some static type pops worth to mention.Audio graded at least excellent plus to very near mint in my opinion.
The Labels:
These are the original Ace Of Clubs Labels: Any spidering can barely be seen angled to the light and there is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round. This has obviously only had very minimal play in my opinion.
The Record Sleeve:
This is the original plain white record sleeve light creasing, browning, becoming fragile with age only.
The Cover:
This is the original Robert Stace Press printed laminated front only cover printed in the UK. There are no real creases to mention just very light laminate lift only at the front bottom left hand corner. This is nice and straight as it should be. no edge splits or tares. The rear is also lovely. This cover is like it just came out of the shop in my opinion. I would grade this at least excellent plus to very near mint in my opinion.
