Exile on Main St. is a double album by English rock band The Rolling Stones. It was released on 12 May 1972 by Rolling Stones Records. The album’s music incorporates rock and roll, blues, soul, country, and gospel genres. Although it originally received mixed reviews, Exile on Main St. is generally considered by music critics to be the Rolling Stones’ greatest album. In 1987, as part of the magazine’s 20th anniversary, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it third on the 100 Best Albums of the Last Twenty Years. In 2003, the album was ranked 7th on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, the highest Rolling Stones album ranked on the list. The 2010 remastered version of the album was released in Europe on 17 May 2010 and in the United States on 18 May 2010, featuring a bonus disc with 10 new tracks

The Vinyls:
Both vinyls lay flat on the turntable and are free of warping. Visual inspection I can see surface sleeve removal scuffs and light scratches only. All in all I would say excellent.

The Audio Quality:
I have played one of the vinyls and the audio is certainly clear and vibrant with only the odd light back ground noise heard in quiet places to mention. Perhaps the odd click here and there may be heard. I would grade the audio as excellent and I would expect the second vinyl to play the same. If you require me to play both vinyls for a complete play grade then please contact me for a request?

The Matrix:
Side 1″COC A-2″
Side 2″COC1 B-1″

Side3 “COC C-1”
Side4  “COC D-1”

The Labels:
These are the original 1st issue Rolling Stones Labels: Minimal spindle marks only can be seen when angled to the light. This has obviously been played.  little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round. This has obviously barely ever been played at all in my opinion.

The Record Sleeves:
Both sleeves have light general storage wear only with age.

The Cover:
This is the original 1st issue box type cover. There is light edge and corner rubbing to mention and light indents can be seen when angled to the light but not really notice unless looked for in my opinion.  I would grade as excellent in my opinion .

Summery:
Earliest 1st UK pressings are very collectable and sought after. Although general play, wear and tear with age still very playable and enjoyable copy.
