NOT FOR SALE!
Due to the sad death of David Bowie today 11th January 2016, I have decided to feature this rare archive copy of Hunky Dory. The cover and vinyl are near mint. The vinyl looks and sounds unplayed and like new in my opinion.
Incredible to find 45 years like this

The Vinyl:
This is the original thick heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. On visual inspection I can’t see any needle scratches or indeed any marks that would cause any clicks or pops. Any marks that could possibly be seen anglerd in strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal type only. The playing surface is lovely. Almost like new in my opinion.
The Audio Quality:
I have played this vinyl at very loud volume prior to this listing on a top system. Importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge. The audio is cristal clear and vibrant through out no distortion or any signs of groove wear at all. I heard no loud constant clicks or pops during the play of this vinyl. Lovely sounding copy. Audio graded at near mint in my opinion.
Please note! I always add this disclaimer Static on these pressings is to be expected in very quiet or silent places common on these pressings. The vinyl has been stored in a case for over 40 years and a clean before each play will enhance the audio quality and reduce any static heard.
The Matrix:
Side 1″XPRS 5047 4S” Machine Stamped matrixes
Side 2″XPRS 5048 2S” Machine Stampedmatrixes
The Labels:
These are the original 1st issue Orange RCA Victor Labels:(correct for this early pressing) NO spidering can be seen angled to the light and there is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round. This has obviously only had a couple of plays by me only it looks un played in my opinion.
The Record Sleeve:
This is the original RCA white paper lyric record sleeve light creasing, with age only.
The Cover:
This is the original 1st issue TEXTURED un laminated cover. Only 1st issues Being primarily black on the front and edges these are normally seen badly worn especially after 45 years but this has been stored and kept separate from the vinyl in a case and is like new! No rubbing no splits or tears no creases. Near Mint in my opinion. Very Very rare like this.
