The Vinyl:
This is the original thick heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. On visual inspection there are some surface marks/scratches fortunately there are no deep marks that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops. Any other marks that could possibly be seen angled in strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal type only.
The Audio Quality:
I have played this vinyl at very loud volume prior to this listing on a top system. The audio is cristal clear and vibrant through out no distortion or any signs of groove wear at all. I heard no loud constant clicks or pops during the play of this vinyl. There were some isolated static ticks heard in a couple of places to mention Lovely sounding copy any interference was minimal in the form of static ticks only in isolated places.. Audio graded at least excellent if not better in my opinion.
Please contact me if you wish to hear the recording of this album.
The Matrix Endings:
Side 1″A5″ (“So Mote It Be” hand etched matrix)
Side 2″B5″ (“Do What Thou Wilt” hand etched matrix)
The Labels:
These are the original Plum/Red Atlantic labels 1st label variation (correct for this early 1st UK pressing) Any spidering angled to the light is barely noticeable , extremely minimal and there is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round. This has obviously only had very minimal play in my opinion.
The Record Sleeve:
This is the original plain white poly lined, patented made in England sleeve superbe condition very clean indeed.
The Cover:
This is the original Fully laminated and importantly E.J.Day & co Ltd gate fold cover in excellent condition. The wheel is full working. Light creases in the laminate only , minor browning at the edges with age. I would grade this at least excellent in my opinion.
Summery:
Rare to find these early original Zeppelin albums in this condition. Very playable and enjoyable copy.
