With the Beatles is the second studio album by the English rock group the Beatles.
It was released on 22 November 1963, on Parlophone, and was recorded four months after the band’s debut Please Please Me.
The album features eight original compositions (seven by Lennon–McCartney and “Don’t Bother Me”, George Harrison’s first recorded solo composition and his first released on a Beatles album) and six covers (mostly of Motown and R&B hits). Most of the songs from the album were released in the United States by Capitol Records as the Meet the Beatles! LP on 20 January 1964; the rest featured on their next US album, The Beatles’ Second Album. The album was also released in November 1963 by Capitol Records in Canada with the title Beatlemania! With the Beatles. This release has the distinction of being the first LP of Beatles material released in North America, pre-dating the Capitol US Meet the Beatles! and the Vee Jay Records Introducing … the Beatles LPs by two months. The cover photograph was taken by the fashion photographer, Robert Freeman, and it has been mimicked by several music groups over the years. The LP had advance orders of a half million and sold another half million by September 1965, making it the second album to sell a million copies in the United Kingdom, after the soundtrack to the 1958 film South Pacific

The Vinyl:
This is the original thick heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings. On visual inspection I can see very few very light surface marks / scuffs ware and tare with age only. Fortunately these earliest original have deep grooves and most of these light marks have little if no effect on the audio quality.. The playing surface is generally clean and tidy. visually excellent to excellent plus.
The Audio Quality:
I have played this vinyl at very loud volume prior to this listing on a top system. Importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge. The audio is cristal clear and vibrant through out no distortion or any signs of groove wear at all. Lovely sounding copy any interference was minimal with very light static on the run ins not consistent through out the audio. Audio graded at least excellent plus to very near as perfect in my opinion.

The Labels:
These are the original 1st issue Parlophone Labels: DO NOT feature “Sold In The UK….” text across the labels (only 1st press) K.T. tax code is stamped on side 2 (correct for this early pressing) Track credits for the track “Money” “Dominion Belinda” (Corrected label) Also the track “You Really Got A Hold On Me” is correctly pelt spidering can be seen angled to the light and there is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round. This has obviously been played by not over played in my opinion.
The Record Sleeve:
This is the original Emitex record sleeve light creasing, browning, becoming fragile with age only.
The Cover:
This is the original 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse flip back cover laminated front only. Un-corrected cover miss spelt “You Really Gotta Hold On Me” There are no real nasty creases on the front to mention this is nice and straight as it should be. no edge splits or tares Amaizingly The rear is also lovely and clean I would grade this at excellent plus to very near mint if not better in my opinion.

For any Beatles lover that wants an original very earliest 1st UK pressing of With The Beatles. Beautiful mono audio this one is for you. Not over played original complete with original G&L cover and record sleeve. Unbelievable for a 50 year old Beatles record.
